Hi All
We are currently trying to create a day event where a registrant can select one of three sessions in the morning and one of three sessions in the afternoon. I have tried adding two event datetimes(one for the morning and one for the afternoon) and 6 tickets (one for each of the three sessions in the morning and one for each of the three sessions in the afternoon). I then added the tickets to the specific event datetime.

What I would like to achieve is that in the ticket selector the registrant can select only one of the sessions in the morning and only one of the sessions in the afternoon and then click on the register button to register for both the sessions simultaneously.
Currently the ticket selector only allows me to select one of the six options at a time and not more than one. I have searched the forums but can not find an answer to my question. Is it possible to configure ee4 to work as described above?

One way is you set up two events, one for the morning session, then another for the afternoon session. Then you set the Maximum number of tickets allowed per order for this event: option to 1, for both of those events.

Then, you install the Multi Event Registration add-on, which will allow the registrant to add the morning session to their cart, and an afternoon session to their cart.

Hi Josh
I wonder if you could point me in the right direction over above. I have installed the multi event plugin and got the cart functionality working fine. I have now created three events. Event One contains a ticket for the whole event. The other two events are just placeholders for the selection of concurrent sessions (one in the afternoon and one in the morning) For each I’ve created three tickets to allow a user to register for one of three concurrent events. In the template section of the event configuration I set the ticket selector to “yes”to dislay the ticket selector which works fine. With the [EVENT_ESPRESSO catagory_slug] shortcode I place all three events on one page.
(a) Is it possible to create just one add to cart button on the wordpress page. I’ve tried to use the [ESPRESSO_CART_LINK anchor=”Add to Cart” event_id=xx] from a support post I found but cannot get it to work. It just displays the shortcode text on the page and not the required functionality. Is this the right way to go or should I try something else.
(b) Is there a way to clear out most of the event descriptions etc for events two and three to get the whole page to look more like one event. The only way I can think of is using css to hide most of the stuff I do not require but with some sections it becomes a challenge. e.g. For the first event I want to display the description and for the other two events not. Is this the way to go or is there a different way?
Hope you can help me in the right direction.
regards

Josh

a) [ESPRESSO_CART_LINK anchor=”Add to Cart” event_id=xx] is a short code for EE3. That’s not a supported short code for EE4.

b) You could create a page, then place 3 shortcodes on it to make the whole page look like one event. i.e.

[ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=20]
[ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=21]
[ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR event_id=22]
