Multi Time per Event Selection issues

Trying to wrap my head around an issue and I am hoping there may be some insights from EE.

I have events that are using the time-slots with available spots in each time. So for example 1 event that has 10 tickets at 7PM, 8PM, 9PM etc.

The event date is now sold out. We had 100 tickets available with 10 in each timeslot. Here is where it gets messy.

After pulling the attendee records we have between 5 and 30 people registered depending on the timeslot, even when the maxes were set per timeslot.

If we go to manually add an attendee since the registration is full it allows us to select a time from the dropdown and says the number of spaces that are left. For example: the 7PM timeframe was set for 10 spaces, there is 15 registered and the dropdown that lets you select the time (when adding an attendee manually) says there are 2 spaces left in that timeslot.

Do you have any troubleshooting starting points?

Version of EE is 3.1.35ALPHA (and we will be updating soon to the latest – it is Alpha because of some custom work EE did for us on scan dates)

Hi Brian,

The time slot feature can work in cases where each registration counts as 1 ticket. Which isn’t always the case when group registrations are enabled (registrations using the ticket selector will count as one spot). If it’s a case where group registrations are enabled it’s best to make each time slot its own event.

Ahh, then that is the problem. Yikes, time to call about 60 people who booked a time they should not have. Is this something that possibly in the future would be an option so this is more functional of an option? We have a number of events that have number per time options and using the multi-time feature would keep things clean. It is an attractive feature we can’t use unless it can take into account total number of spots available per timeslot even with group registration. Thoughts?

Hi Brian,

I can register this as a feature request. In the meantime I can advise to set up each time slot as an event if you need to set quantity limits and allow group registrations for these events.
