Multi-Event add to cart function in EE4

I just recently upgraded to EE4 and enjoy all the new features, but it’s missing the most important feature in our registration process which is the multi-event add to cart option. Is that something you’re working on to include? At this point, I’m looking at regressing to the older version because that’s most important to our needs.

Hi Erin,

As you have found, Multi Event Registration is currently not available with EE4 although it is on our road map to be included.

Before migrating to EE4 did you create a backup?

Yes, we did create a backup but not sure how easy it is to go back. Suggestions? Do you have any idea of timing for the Multi event registration?

Hi Erin,

Your event data from EE3 will still be in the current database, but if you prefer you can restore to the database backup point that you made before migrating. If you don’t restore, you will need to change the Event Espresso pages back to use EE3 shortcodes.

We do not have an ETA for an Event Espresso 4 Multi Event Registration add-on at this time.

Last question… without the multi-event registration, is there a way to easily navigate back to the main events page after registering for 1 event if the user needs to register for another?

Hi,

You could edit the Thank You page (under Pages in the WP dashboard) and below the shortcode add a link back to the main events page (basic example http://take.ms/yZQb4)

Ok, so I know I said last question, but… The form fields are not automatically populating with the information when I go to register again. I want to make it as easy as possible for our users who have to register multiple times. How do I make the form fields populate with the most recent information.

Hi Erin,

If they have any kind of an account on your site (like a subscriber account), you can use the WP User Integration add-on for EE4 to auto fill the basic information fields. The WP User integration add-on for EE4 is currently available to download as a beta version in the pre-release channel.

You can download this from your account page *after* you click the box on your account page to opt in to the pre-release channel.
