Move to secure site broke calendar

After installing Event Espresso 4 and implementing PayPal Payments Pro, we decided to upgrade to a static IP and install an SSL certificate.

After doing so and switching all of our URLs to HTTPS, it seems the calendar is no longer displaying images, and the fonts seem to have reverted to an ugly Courier font.

FYI, I am using the Avada theme (which was working properly before) and OptimizePress (as a plugin, with a fix applied to make it work properly with Avada). Everything seemed to be working just peachy before the upgrade to HTTPS.

Here’s a link to the page: https://www.paintandparties.com/calendar/

Thanks in advance!

Hi Lisa,

That was a good move as an SSL certificate will secure the sensitive financials.

I looked at your events calendar in https and http and it appears to be the same:

http://www.paintandparties.com/calendar/
https://www.paintandparties.com/calendar/

Could you go to Event Espresso –> Calendar Settings and ensure that the calendar images option is turned on?

It looks like this:

Next, is there a page that has the font on it that you would like to use?

Lorenzo,

I checked and the calendar images option WAS turned on.

As far as fonts are concerned, I’m happy with the standard font that WAS displaying before it broke. Is there an option somewhere to modify the fonts on the calendar?

Let me clarify my last post.

The calendar images option was and still is turned on, but the images are still not showing on the calendar. However, the popover works when one hovers over an event.

Would it make sense to delete the Calendar plugin and reinstall it?

Hi Lisa,

The font issue is likely due to the calendar shortcode being wrapped in pre tags, this can happen when the shortcode has been copied and pasted from the forum or another page that has formatting.

Can you edit the calendar page, switch to Text mode and you should see ‘pre’ tags around the shortcdoe, like this – http://take.ms/jmFRx

Remove those tags and update the page.

Would it make sense to delete the Calendar plugin and reinstall it?

The thumbnails not appearing is strange and not something I have seen before, you can try re-installing the Calendar although I do not think it will solve the problem.

Have you modified EE at all?

Tony,

I removed the “pre” tags and that fixed everything.

Thank you so very much!
