Monitoring EE4 Health

I am currently experiencing slow down in response rates according to amplify.nginx.com over the day and is supported by the occassional customer complaint when EE4 has concurrent users (7-14). I understand that 14 is not a lot of concurrent users to slowdown EE4.

There are two active events, one each for two multisite using subdirectories.
I am using
Gantry 5 Theme
WP 4.8.2
Event Espresso 4.9.49
NGINX 1.12.1 with pagespeed module (among others) memcached enabled for pagespeed but no WP plugins explicitly use them
MariaDB
PHP7-FPM
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
VPS on Linode

How do you recommend I monitor the health of and troubleshoot my WPMU EE4 install? Where do I start?

I have deactivated Easy Reports and Analytics for Event Espresso 4 because warnings keeps showing up in the error.log. I deactivated Akismet since I am not accepting any comments, nor registrations. Also deactivated and cleaned (except for EE4 plugins that I am still looking into) out other plugins to minimum required.

I’d recommend you speak with a sys admin for this, what you are asking for is how to monitor the server which non of the support team can really advise you on as it’s outside the scope for support.

Having said that if you find any specific issues that EE is causing for you and have more details on the specific query/code running that is causing it we can investigate, but a general health check and ‘how to’ on monitoring your server setup is not something we can provide, unfortunately.
