Mobile App Issues (3)

I was following up on my original post (https://eventespresso.com/topic/mobile-app-issues-2/) but showed it closed out.

Is there an ETA on when the authentication issues can be corrected. The app continues to say I have no access to attendee information when I clearly do.

I found a review on the app in Google Play that listed a “work around” (https://github.com/eventespresso/Basic-Auth) but it did not change anything for me. I activated the plugin and changed my httaccess but still not recognizing my access in the app.

Any ETA on when these issues can be resolved? Thanks

No ETA. Can you verify that your server is running PHP in FCGI mode?

It appears that both cgi and fcgi are enabled on my server.

What we’ve seen so far is in most cases a server that’s running FCGI will be okay after making the edit to the .htaccess file and switching to the other version of the Basic Auth plugin.

Another option you can try is the Application Passwords plugin.

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-event-apps/#authentication

You’ll note in the documentation from the above link has a note where it says you can contact your hosting provider and request they allow the ‘Authorization’ header through on requests.

the application passwords plugin didnt have an effect either. it doesnt show in the log that the plugin provides that the password was tried. i contacted the host about the authorization header so will see what comes of that.

Checked with my host (Siteground) and they state that they do allow the authentication headers to go through.

You might check to see if there are any installed plugins that are interfering. Also, if your site is https, you need to input https when you input the URL into the app.
