Each time I turn the Event-Espresso plugin of and back on I need to rebuild my Permalink Settings need to use “/%category%/%postname%/” I have Avada Theme installed 55,000 others use this theme as well. And I use the Permalink Name “members” see http://www.elite6.co.nz/members/ there seems to be a conflict with that word/name, all the same I dont see why I need to rebuild my Permalink each time I turn your plugin on or off.

I have only had problems with this plugin so far ;-(

Also if you look at the formatting of the pages at http://www.elite6.co.nz/events/ it all looks crappy sad to say, I know you will say it is my theme however it is used my 55,000 others so would be nice that they worked together.

Hi Danny,

You’re correct, the formatting is handled by your theme. It’s not really an issue of whether or not Event Espresso works with your theme. If you don’t like the way your theme formats content, there are many other themes out there to try, or the theme can be modified to format the content different.

With the permalinks, Event Espresso registers a few custom post types (events and venues). Neither of them use the slug ‘members’. Are you using another plugin that registers a custom post type with the slug ‘members’?

Thank you for replying and your help with other stuff.

“there are many other themes out there to try” The Avada Theme is used by 55,000 other websites and is updated all the time it is the best and I feel it is also setting the standard do you know another or better theme please let me know as I like using the best. 15 themes it took until I got this one now I use it all the time and it is SO nice when a plugin works with it 1st time.

Hi Danny,

We are not saying that the Avada theme is unpopular or poor quality, quite the reverse.

However, the theme is what does the majority of the styling for the events (which are custom post types). As such if you are not satisfied with how your theme is doing this then you would need to either swap themes or add in some custom css to modify the styles for the events.

Not satisfied with how your theme? I think I need new event software this has so far been a big waste of my time and I have never paid so much for a plugin.

Look at my events http://www.elite6.co.nz/events/

Look at this Event http://www.elite6.co.nz/events/andy-lamont-fundraising-evening/

Now look at this one http://www.elite6.co.nz/events/elite6-awards-dinner/

Notice how the data is missing and you can not make a booking? it was working yesterday and now has stopped and before you say it is the Caching I have turned it off already.

What would you do if you were me?

Hi Danny,

That’s a separate issue about the ticket selector not working and can likely be resolved if you make sure that the tickets are assigned to a datetime.

As an aside, I would encourage anyone using the Avada Theme to run it through the theme check plugin or turn on WP_DEBUG. You might be surprised at what you’ll find.

I try to assign a ticket however it will not let me remove the old ticket as it keeps saying it needs one to work, so I add a new one and then try remove the old one and it still will not let me now I have two tickets I can not remove.

I says “No Tickets have been setup for this Event”

I show “2 Available Tickets”

Hi Danny,

This screenshot (http://monosnap.com/image/Ek1mxIdNgSqyF42stSqPIqyu7E8RjW) shows that there are two archived tickets. Here is how archived tickets are used in Event Espresso:

A status of archived occurs when the first ticket is sold. After the first ticket sale, Event Espresso archives the existing ticket to prevent changes which could affect registrants. A new ticket is automatically created for new registrants so that an event admin can modify pricing (if needed).

With this new information in mind, what happens if you try to add a new ticket?
