Manage People – Add people fail

Hi,

Not able to add people in the manage people. It will load a fail page and show the error below:

There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

Please advise how to rectify this. Thanks.

Hi there,

This is due to a PHP8 compatibility issue.

I’ve just pushed an update live for the People Add-on to fix this, you likely won’t see it on your site just yet but if you go to Event Espresso -> General Settings and just hit save it will force an update check.

The People add-on should show an update for version 1.0.8 which includes a fix for the above error.
