Manage Payment Gateways Page Won't Load After Activating WorldPay

After I activated the WorldPay gateway, the body of the Manage Payment Gateways page won’t load (title loads with blank white). Looking at the page source, nothing is loading below <h2>Manage Payment Gateways</h2>. It tries loading for about a full minute but just doesn’t get anywhere.

You can see a test event at http://www.tlexprogram.com/uk/event-registration/?ee=4

I have the most recent version of EE (3.1.35) and WP (3.61) installed.

I’ve deleted and reinstalled the plugin. I’ve tried firefox and chrome.

Please advise.

Thanks and kind regards,

Daniel

ps- I’ve also just tried your tips to Disable all plugins other than Event Espresso and see if the problem persists and Switch to the default WordPress theme and see if the problem persists. No go – same problem persists =(

Hi June,

Is it possible to get your login details in order to look into this?

If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

NOTE: login details need to be Admin level and FTP details are appreciated.

Hi there,

The FTP credentials we received do not appear to work. Can you check the PHP error logs for any errors logged at the time when the WorldPay gateway was activated?

Hi,

Thanks for the error logs.

I am a little confused here, the site you provided login details for is running EE 3.1.30.7 however the error logs seem to be referring to a different site entirely (demo/ietswp/) which is running EE 3.1.22.2 which is incredibly old.

Can you clarify which site we should be looking at? Also if you are running 3.1.22.2 (or even 3.1.30.7) I would suggest updating the plugin and associated add on plugins. WordPress would likely need to be updated too, as the latest Event Espresso does need a fairly recent version of WordPress (ver 3.3 or above ideally).

I think we’re looking at the wrong site. The site linked to in the first post is:

http://www.tlexprogram.com/uk/

but the site that credentials were sent for was:

http://www.ietstraining.com

Hi Dean and Josh~ I’m very sorry for that mixup. I’ve now sent the proper login info for tlexprogram.com/uk

Note – I had to revert back to an update with EE Version 3.1.33 and WP 3.5.x because I had forgotten about a custom shortcode we’d written which I erased when updating EE.

The Payment Gateways page is loading again without Worldpay activated. Should I update EE before attempting up activate Worldpay this time?

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

We advise updating to the latest version of Event Espresso. You can avoid losing your custom shortcode by placing your custom code into /wp-content/uploads/espresso/custom_functions.php and any custom templates into /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates.

I did log into the admin with the credentials that you sent, and while the payment page did load up very slowly, it didn’t seem to make any difference whether WorldPay was active or not. It did eventually load up though.

The system status page is indicating that the WP Memory Limit should be increased. If you try that it may help.
