MailChimp not getting names from registration

I have read the most recent discussions on MailChimp and I have made sure that my lists have groups and I have selected the appropriate list and group and it still isn’t working. I’m wasting a lot of time going around on this and I just started with EE today. Please help! And I’m not technical so I do not expect to have to edit PHP to get my program to work.

When you do a test registration, do you get the email from mailchimp to opt in to the list?

no it isn’t making the outbound connection to MailChimp

kept resetting it and it is working now. Thanks
