MailChimp Integration

I was pretty sure I set everything up correctly, but I’m being told that none of our email signups through eventespresso have made through to MailChimp. I have the API plugged in and it shows our list when I’m creating new events. I read where I need to create a category, but that looks strange in MailChimp, like I can’t understand how that helps get anything to the list. It just seems to add styling to a signup form. And I’m not sure what options I would choose for that. It has title and group name. Do I just wing it?

Any help would be great.. Thanks!

Hi Fred,

There is a bug with the Mailchimp Integration Add-on in which you need to have at least 1 group within your list in order for it to work correctly.

The fix is mentioned in this post:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/mailchimp-integration-settings-part-ii/#post-55056

This has been added to the Add-on and will be included in the next Mailchip update.

Ok, I was going to attempt this fix, but I cannot find mailchimp.controller.class.php anywhere. I can find it in the original plugin I downloaded, but not installed on the site. Am I missing something?

Also, can I assume that I will have to export attendees and reimport to mailchimp in order to get all the past event attendees into my list?

Thanks!

Well, it seems to be working now. I’m guessing that file is not there because there has been an update and maybe this is all working correctly now.

Either way, thanks!!!!
