Lots of "deprecated" warnings when WP_DEBUG is turned on

I’m getting the following message (several instances on a page, with different line numbers) when I turn on WP_DEBUG:

Deprecated: Function mcrypt_get_iv_size() is deprecated in /Users/xxxxxxxxx/Sites/yyyyyyy/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Encryption.core.php on line 236

I can provide a URL of the staging site and even an admin login if your support staff needs it. I’m using 4.9.38p. Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi there,

Thanks for reporting. There’s no need to send anything, the developers are aware that mcrypt_get_iv_size() was deprecated in PHP7.1 and they’ll be sure to make the necessary change for future releases.
