Links to Event Espresso Assets Incorrect After Domain Name and Directory Change

We migrated our website from a test domain to its actual domain. The registration confirmation page links to several small images (a calendar, clock, etc.). When we changed our domain, the links to these assets did not update. As an example, here is a link that is incorrect:

http://www.frame.dance/frame4/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/templates/global_assets/images/clock-16×16.png

The asset is actually at:

http://www.framedance.org/frame/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/templates/global_assets/images/clock-16×16.png

Is there anyway to update Event Espresso settings so that it knows the directory and domain have changed?

Thanks so much,

-Jonathon

Hi Jonathon,

It turns out the links to assets are not controlled by any settings in Event Espresso. Those are actually WordPress settings that should have been migrated when you moved sites, it sounds like that didn’t get done. When you migrate a site, you need to use a tool like WP Migrate DB or WP Migrate DB Pro.

I did not migrate servers. Just to a new domain. All other assets link correctly. These are the only ones that do not want to work. Any suggestions? I really can’t just have dead links on your registration details page.

Are there paths in the database so I can correct these issues manually?

Hi Jonathan,

You should be able to avoid the issues you’re seeing if you can follow this guide:
