Limit tickets to two per logged in user per event.

Is there a way with the User addon to limit the total number of tickets to two per user? We have a single event and datetime and one of the ticket types is Member’s Only, which is free, but we’re having users register multiple times and each time registering two more people. We want to only allow each user two of these Members Only (free) tickets total to the event, even if they try to register again later. If they want to buy other tickets, that is fine.

Is this possible?

Hi there,

What you are requesting is possible, however, it’s not something that is built into the add-on so you will need custom development for this.

I have an example that should get you (or a developer) started in the right direction for this here:

That snippet simply removes the ticket from the ticket selector if the current user has a registration on that ticket. A developer can expand on that for what you are requesting above using the Qty of tickets purchased and the ticket type.
