We are looking at using EE4 for one of our clients but they would like to limit certain entry forms to certain users. In the first case is this possible? And would it be possible to limit the events based on a registration field e.g. Date of Birth?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hello again,

Yes, this can be done by using some jQuery as another member has set this up:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/registration-form-validation-issue/

We can create an example if that would be helpful.

One thing to keep in mind is that the date picker would be shown after the registrant selects a ticket and begins registration. Here is an overview of the registration flow:

Attendee/registrant arrives on single event page and selects a ticket and clicks Register Now.

This takes them to registration checkout and their name, email, and any other custom information is collected. This is also where the datepicker would reside.

Therefore, I would add a notice to the single event page to remind attendees of the minimum age. If they are underage and decide to continue and register, then the validation would activate when they enter a birth date and would stop registration.
