License Conflict on Staging Site

I am not able to make changes to any Event Espresso related content on our staging site because the license only applies to the live site. While the staging version is only a copy of our website, it gives the impression of using one license for two sites. Is there an easy way to apply the license to the live and staging version of our site so there isn’t a conflict when i’m needing to make changes?

You remove the API key from Event Espresso > General Settings from either the staging site or live site.

So I have to remove and replace the API key each time? We work through our staging site regularly so as to eliminate any conflicts or down time on our live site (copy live to staging, edit staging, migrate staging to live). Is there any other option?

When we use a plugin with the same type of system, we just ignore the license notifications and only pull updates to staging. Then manually push the files to live. That way your live code includes any changes from Staging.

The other option would be to purchase a second license key just for the update notifications. But again, I’d recommend pushing the updates from staging once things are verified.
