Last ee3 update WIPED ALL my events, settings, etc. Please Help!

Hi,

Just updated event espresso 3, what can I say but it deleted everything(!!!).

Events, bookings, literally everything wiped out.

Please help, my site is http://phototourbrugge.com/calendar/ and until this is resolved my business can’t take any online bookings, not good.

Hi there,

I checked your site and and I can see it went to 4.4.10 decaf version.

Here’s how to fix this:

You deactivate and delete the version that’s installed right now.

You go to your account page and download Event Espresso 3.1.37.0.p

You upload and activate Event Espresso 3.1.37.0.p

You check you Event Espresso shortcodes and page settings as outlined in this guide:

HI,

Sorry for the trouble. For some strange reason, WordPress.org was prompting our users to upgrade from EE3 to EE4 decaf. Your data should still be there, but you will need to download EE3 manually from your account here and activate it. Your data should all be there.

We’re really sorry for the confusion. We’re actively working on trying to resolve the confusion between our updates and wordpress.org.

So, let me be clear. Your website was running EE3 (according to you) but it is now running EE4 decaf. Because of the confusion with the updates with wordpress.org (we’re not sure why this is happening, but we’re looking into it), you actually upgraded to EE4 decaf.

So, to get back to EE3, you need to manually download, install and activate EE3 from your account.

Again, real sorry. Hopefully that helps.

Thanks for the speedy reply, glad to know everything is still there!

I’m indeed on ee3 and post-panic see that indeed I’m “upgraded” to ee4 decaf. Will restore files and let you know how it goes down.
