json api testing

Is it just me or is this site ridiculous to find answers?  I have the latest version of wordpress, ee and json api add on.  I am using the link to test the installation of the json api and I get 404 error cant find the page.  What’s up?

I see that it is indeed going to a 404 page.

Did you install the JSON API addon?

Have you set the options so that the “Allow Public API Access” is set to yes?

I figured out that it does not work when using the https for WordPress plugin.  Once deactivated the json test worked.

Hi Maurice,

You might try the Better WP Security plugin’s HTTPS feature. It works the same way that the WP HTTPS plugin but doesn’t conflict with the API. Please see this guide (under option #2) for more details:
