installed decaf, subsequently updated to ee4 by adding the support license and then did the template update as suggested in the form. However, my registration form is still locked with all the mandatory questions contained in decaf, and if i try to register multiple people, I can only enter one name.

Hi there,

If you go to edit the event does it allow unchecking and checking the checkboxes in the Questions for Registrants boxes? If you can post a link to the event page we can take a look and get a clearer picture to know what you can do to change the questions.

I hadn’t noticed that the front end form contained only the name and the form.
here is the link: http://wpsusc.com/registration-checkout/?uts=1513363357#checkout
However, notice that I entered 2 as the number of tickets…there is a room for only one name and email…..
AND the back end form questions list all the fields that were required on the decaf version, with a padlock to the left of each field name….would like to clean up the back end as it is confusing, and messy. I have another client that started with the ee4 premium and the back end is clean. The back end of this site should be clean too….How can I fix it?

You can change that to have 2 forms by going in to edit the event, then you check the checkbox next to “Personal Information” in the Questions for Additional Registrants box.

I know what a clean install should look like, but I have no idea what either of your two sites look like to compare. May I ask can you post screenshots of both so I can see the difference and get an idea of what you mean by “clean”?

If you’re not sure about how to post a screenshot, there’s information that explains how in the documentation:

So my memory is not as reliable as I thought. The site that I described as “clean” has ALL of the same fields listed in the back end registrations form, regardless of whether or not I am actually using that field on the front end. Obviously, there is another technique for displaying / not displaying a field on the front end form that I have forgotten…. Me bad, thanks for the help!

The technique for displaying/not displaying a field on the front end is the one where you set/unset the question to a question group. Then you set the questiongroup to display/not display in the event editor. There’s more information in the documentation that shows how that works:
