WP Version : 4.1
Event Espresso : Version 4.4.10.p
Calendar (EE 4.3+) :Version 3.2.1.p
MailChimp (EE4.3+) : Version 2.1.1.p

Hi,
I created a event that is password protected. I go to the event and try to type in the password but it doesn’t work. The page simply refreshes.

Page: http://letsgoghcreate.com/index.php/events/wave-tree-duo/
password: 12345

Not sure whats wrong.

Hi,

Can you check that the password is correct? I ran a few local tests and the screen refreshes when the incorrect password is entered (there is no notification). I had no trouble accessing the event once the correct password was used (on my local site).

Hi Dean,

I double checked the password, it is correct. I even cleared the password and tried again. Didn’t help

Hi,

doesn’t seem to be a issue with event espresso. I tried creating a normal password protected page and its doing the same thing.

Hi Nazareth,

This is likely caussed by caching. That event page is cached (as will you other ‘normal’ password protected pages)

To test, go to your WP Super Cache settings. Settings -> WP Super Cache.

Set caching to off, save the settings, once the page has reloaded, then click delete cache – http://take.ms/gubwm

Then try a password protected page.

This completely disables and removes caching, please do not just disabled the plugin without doing the above, that does not remove the cache.
