Hi, the preview option is similar to the preview option for a WordPress page or post. Does this work with other plugins disabled?

Hi,

The issue occurs after I have published the event. The event appears in an event listing page but if I click view details/more info I just get a blank white page when leading to the event URL.

I have tested will all other plugins disabled on the site.

The site is running the FooCamp wordpress theme.

I have tested EE3 to see if I get similar problems but EE3 seems to work fine. The issue is just with EE4.

Thanks

I also get a blank page if I try to view an event venue page

Thanks

Hi Dan,

Could you temporarily turn off all plugins and add this macro to your WP-config.php file?

https://gist.github.com/848801a1173be464fbe7

Then please reactivate Event espresso and then go to Settings –> Permalinks.

Let us know if you see any errors on the event pages or if they load with some other content.

Thanks

Lorenzo

Hello,

I followed the above instructions. No errors appear on any pages and event page still appears blank (white screen)

Thanks

Does the same thing happen on a default WP theme?

You should also see some debugging information in this location on your WordPress site:

/wp-content/debug.log

Are there any errors there?

Hi Lorenzo thanks for the help on this

Just tested on default WP theme and the events work fine. So I guess its a conflict with the FooCamp theme.

The debugging information doesn’t seem to be logging anything in /wp-content/debug.log (there is no debug.log in the wp-content folder) ??

Thanks

Hi Dan,

It sounds like you’ll need to create a debug.log file in the wp-content folder because your server’s permissions don’t allow WordPress to create a file there.

I added a debug.log file to the wp-content folder but no errors listed

Hi,

Can you provide a link to a broken event please?

Also, can you email us a copy of the theme to support@eventespresso.com linking to this forum thread in the email?
