Will offsite payment gateway with paypal work with a regular business account? If the answer is no, can you explain why?
Also trying to find directions on how to set up EE with paypal. Is there documentation on this?

Hi Teresa,
A Paypal Payments Standard or Pro account is required, so for offsite you will need Paypal Payments Standard: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/compare-business-products

thank you so much for the help which I really do need. I just set up a sandbox account with paypal and all the test emails and then I clicked this:
https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/lifecycle/sb_calls/
and I decided to ask you for help. What do I do from here inside my site – register for an event that I have set up? Are step by step directions/documentation with EE for this?

Hi,
PayPal Pro is for accepting credit card payments on your site. This is a premium service with PayPal with a monthly fee of $30. An SSL certificate is also required (your web host can set this up for a fee).
PayPal Standard is an offsite payment gateway and does not have a monthly fee.
