I have read all the other posts on this subject, which all suggest installing the JSON API but nowhere can I find where to find it to install it.
I have installed the espresso-services folder in the same folder as wp-config.php and have downloaded the HD version of the app on my iphone, but I am getting a 404 error. With the “nonHD” version of the app, I can login but cannot see any events.
How do I find this mysterious yet essential JSON API?
We are using
Wordpress 3.5.1
Event Espresso Version 3.1.34.1.P
Ticketing version Version 2.0.10.2.p
We have been using this installation since July and it has not been upgraded
w11opera.org
Once installed you’ll need to configure a couple of settings. For example you’ll want to Allow Public access under Event Espresso -> API Settings. https://eventespresso.com/wiki/api-addon/
Also, I would recommend updating both your WordPress install and Event Espresso. When performing ANY updates it is always recommended to backup the site first, just in case. We have a guide posted here https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/ to help you through it.
If you have template modifications you may well find these will need to be transferred over to the updated templates.
