Install not working

I’ve installed the core plugin. Activation is successful but the Event Espresso item does not display in the Admin meny. An attempt to access the Payment Methods results in

“You do not have access to this route.”

All plugins are disabled and this was a clean install.

Update.

I completely rebuilt the server from scratch and the install now worked. I installed EE4 first before anything else.

Hi there,

Apologies for the delay, I know you have this fixed now but thought Id’ add some additional details for future readers.

The above sounds like the capabilities for Event Espresso were not added to the administrator account for some reason. You can usually fix that bu going to:

{domain}/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_maintenance_settings&action=data_reset

Then clicking on the ‘Reset Event Espresso Capabilities’ button.

That will apply all of EE caps to the admin account and should fix the above.

Thanks for that. I’m pretty sure that the Branda plugin was the culprit here as it manages admin capabilities. So I suggest that anyone doing an EE install disable that plugin first.
