Infusionsoft products: assigning to events and updating SKU's

This ticket is in regards to a couple issues I’ve seen with integrating event espresso with Infusionsoft , specifically with products.

First off I think all the issues can be resolved if we could simply reference an existing product name and ID from Infusionsoft and assign it to a ticket . I’m pretty sure the Infusionsoft API is capable of doing this now.

Now to the issues…

Issue 1) I would like to create a tiered pricing fortickets . For example early bird and standard pricing based off of dates. In my research I discovered the only way to do this is create several tickets of the same product and have price modifiers and set the availability dates. This works okay however when I purchase this ticket it uses the same product in Infusionsoft but updates the SKU. This is a huge issue because I use QuickBooks and need the SKU to remain the same for the product. see: https://eventespresso.com/topic/tickets-being-overwritten-in-infusionsoft/

Issue 2) I don’t want a event espresso to create the SKU. I want to set my own SKU in Infusionsoft . Once again for the purposes of me using QuickBooks .

Hi there,

The Event Espresso Infusionsoft add-on does not have the ability to sync a ticket in Event Espresso to an already existing product in Infusionsoft. A developer could potentially add this functionality if the API allows. Do you know if Infusionsoft’s API documentation has information that shows you can connect to an existing product via the API?
