Incomplete Registration but Transaction Successful (2)

Hi, as the title says I have a successful payment and an incomplete transaction.

I have IPN history that I can share and here is the gateway response in EE:
This transaction was approved. However, the Card Security Code provided had too few, too many, or invalid character types but, as per your account option settings, was not required in the approval process.

To be clear, this payment was successful, the card was charged, it’s in my PP log as complete, but EE left it as Incomplete Registration and triggered Payment Declined messages.

I don’t know if I can do that-we already resolved this manually. So I wouldn’t want to do anything that would dupicate registrations or something.
Is resending IPN the recommended fix for this?
Do you want the full IPN message for this transaction? I can send it over privately.

Alright, if this occurs in the future, then please resend the IPN:

That holds the information that updates the payment.

It would not create a duplicate registration, rather, it would add the payment information along and should update the registration status (paid registration –> registration status of completed).

Thanks for that info.

But I’m more interested in having this investigated a prevented in the future. Any idea what causes this?

In this case, we didn’t notice this for several days.

Hi,

It sounds like there was a typo on the CVV2 and the transaction was still approved. These are usually declined if the billing address does not match:
