Hi Lucey,

How are you today?

Can I ask what you mean by Multiple Event Registrations? (This means different features to different users so I’d just like to clarify)

Event Espresso 4 allows multiple ticket selections within a single event, but currently does not allow the user to register onto multiple events at once.

However it also depends on how your events are setup, for example, a single event may have multiple datetimes, these datetimes can have their own tickets assigned to them which means a user can select multiple tickets to attend multiple datetimes.

Its still single event, say a conference, but each datetime may then be a ‘session’ within that conference.

Does that make sense?

Hello Tony,

Yeah I mean a single event with multiple date times.
Is that possible use this functionality with Import Events?

For example: I create a importer file, with multiples events and multiples date times for each event, and multiple tickets for each event, is that possible?

Thank you

Hi Lucey,

Apologies for the delay getting back to you.

Yes this is possible, however the relationships within Event Espresso mean the CSV is fairly complex.

To create a CSV it is best to a create the event within Event Espresso, export that, then edit the CSV and duplicate the details as many times as needed, amending each event as you go.

Does that help?

Hi Lucey,

I am currently investigating this and will post back shortly.

As a side note, ‘bumping’ your threads will actually have the opposite effect than intended. We answer threads based on their reply date, so adding another post actually puts that thread to the end of the queue.

We try to answer all threads within 48 hours although usually much quicker.

Looking at your CSV file, all of the date values are saved as ###### values.

To confirm, are you replacing those values with the actual dates and times for your events/tickets?

This would be in the format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS, so for example “2015-07-01 08:00:00” is the 1st July as 8am sharp.

Also, which application are you using to edit the CSV?

Hi Tony,

Im too sure what you mean, I just created the events inside wordpress> clicked on export and then I have tried to re-import.

I just want to get 1 successful import to see the import format.

I am not replacing values.

Thanks for your help so far.

Strange, the CSV you have linked above has all of the date values saved as a strings of hashes – http://take.ms/pibxz

I downloaded your CSV altered those hashes to date values and imported the event without and issue, I will continue to investigate and post shortly.

I looks like there is an issue with Exporting then Importing onto the same site.

I have created a ticket for our developers to investigate.

As a work around you’ll need to edit the CSV before importing it.

Please do not edit the file with MS Excel, Excel automatically formats date fields and will alter the format needed for EE. Using a rich text editor such as Sumblime Text is the best way to do this.

If you open up your CSV with sublime, at the top you’ll see your domain. Change this to something different, adding a number to the end, so it ends .co.uk1 will work.

This basically makes Event Espresso think the events are new events and it should then create those.

Each new import of the same events will need this doing, you can just increase the number each time as long as EE thinks these events have not been imported before it will create new ones.
