I just bough the everything license. I am using beaver builder theme 1) How do I get the events list on the home page? 2) I used the “grid view addon” but when I used the shortcode on the home page, the frid looked very ugle with a cropped picture and description on bottom. I dont get anything on when I hover (check out the grid on http://www.apnaseattle.net. I just have 1 event for now (I am testing this plugin) 3) The single event page look very bad, how can I improve it. 4) Can I have a hero image on top of every single event page. 5) I want around 10 other people to be able to manage and submit event. How do I do that and what pluing addon should I use? 6) What these users submit new events, I want them to appear on the home page automatically. How do I set that up. 7) How do I get a event list on the home page in the side bar? 8) My event calender add-on is not showing as well. I used the shortcode but it stipp doesnt show. 9) Just curious about whats the best theme to one use to get the best look and feel and functionality with event exopress Thankyou in advence for answering all my questions. The default event list within Event Espresso? You can use the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode.
Officially Event Espresso is not compatible with Visual Builders such as Beaver Builder, Visual Composer etc. The problem here is none of the script and styles for the Grid view template are being added to the page. Event Espresso monitors the content of the page and adds its scripts if it detects one of its shortcodes are being used. However as you are using a visual builder EE can not detect the shortcode and so does not add the scripts.
What would you like to change? As mentioend EE is not compatible with Visual editors but it does use your theme to output the details, this means you will need to build a custom template for EE events to heavily modify the output.
I’m not sure what a hero image is? The featured image? If so then Yes, however the output is based o your theme, so if you theme does not output the feature image for posts, it will not display by default.
There is no add-on for that. Event Espresso has capability checks throughout the plugin so you can create a custom user role with the capabilities to give access to the sections of EE/WordPress that you prefer. There is a widget available within Appearance -> Widgets. EE Upcoming events widget. Or you can use the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode.
If you are using beaver builder to add the calendar you will likely have the same problem as #2. Can you link me to the page so I can view it please?
That’s very subjective so we can’t really provide an answer, some people like one theme, others really dislike it.
