I’ve tried sending test emails for both the registration approved and a custom version of the registration approved emails. I can send new user emails from WP.

I sent through a registration under the name usertest but I did not receive an email notification.
Could you try setting up a transactional email service?

Hi Lorenzo,
I moved my site to a different site, because it was so slow to work on, and now the email seems to be working. I’ll let you know if that changes!
