Hi Support,

Good Morning. We have purchased the Personal License.

I didn’t find the Price Modifier add-ons in our License. How to enable the Price Modifier ?

Please find the details about my website.
Wordpress: Version 3.8.1
Event Espresso: 3.1.36.3.P

Thanks

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for choosing Event Espresso! 🙂

You will need to opt into the Pre-Release channel in order to find the Price Modifier add-on. You can find the pre-release channel on your account page.

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for your reply. I didn’t find the pre-release channel on my account page.

Thanks

Yes. Now I have enabled the pre-release channel download files after enabled the pre-release check box.

Shall I use the Price Modifier in our production website ?

Thanks

Hi Jeff,

It is up to you. The Price Modifier is still in beta so it may have issues (bugs, lack of features, etc), but to our knowledge it is a stable beta and there are people out there using it on production sites.

As always, make sure you back things up as a precaution.

Hi Dean,

Thanks for your reply. I have integrated the Price modifier on our website. Its working fine now.

I have another query,

Is that possible to show the price modifier price separately apart from the event price on confirmation page on event registration ?

Also I need to show this price separately on Paypal page.

Thanks

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the feedback.

That is something we will need to add to the add-on. As Dean said, it is in beta, so there may be features missing.

Since we are currently working to get EE3 add-ons ported to EE4, new features such as these have been placed on hold. With that said, I don’t have an estimated time of when they will be implemented.

Hi guys … I know Price Modifier is still in Beta, but I ran into an odd thing today. It has been working fine for a while now while we were testing, but then all of a sudden today it’s not reading our 2nd option of the question w/ the price modifier. When the client looks at the dropdown, it only sees the first option (Yes) that adds $35 to the price, but it doesn’t see the second option (No), which doesn’t add anything to the price. We have this as the modifier code: Yes|35.00,No|0

Here is the page it’s on: http://www.megafootballcamps.com/?page_id=789&ee=3 and it’s for the “Equipment Rental” question. We’re currently running version: 3.1.36.3.P because we just opened our camp registration and I was worried about upgrading to the latest version on our first day. Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful on why it suddenly stopped working today.

Thanks!

Jeff

Hi,

The issue is that the second option is Zero. Because it is zero it is not modifying the price and the plugin rejects it.

I have raised a ticket previously to see if we can modify the behaviour of the plugin, but with the release of EE4, feature requests are currently on hold.

Hi Jeff,

Until we get this fixed, is it a problem to transpose those options? Instead of Yes|35.00,No|0, you can change it to No|0,Yes|35.00. Have you tried that?

I have not tried that, but I will and then I’ll report back. Thanks for the tip!

It did not work … the “No” in the dropdown does not appear. Right now to get around it I just had to make the question not required, and provide a note to choose yes if equipment rental is needed and just skip the question if not.

If you have any other suggestions, or ideas on if it might be fixed I’d love to hear them. This way will work, it just doesn’t look very professional and it leaves room for error when the customer is filling out the form by not making it required. Thanks for your help!

Ah, shucks. Sorry that didn’t work. We will update the post when there is a fix.

Hi Jeff,

As Dean stated previous, with the release and work going into EE4, all feature requests and fixes for Pre-Release add-ons have been put on hold. I don’t have an ETA for this to be corrected.
