The information in the other topic was incorrect. The default ticket should not be deleted. Instead, it can be customized by going to Event Espresso > Pricing where you’ll edit the default Base Price there.
If you’re actually looking to remove a locked ticket from an event, that can be done by removing all payments associated with tickets for the locked ticket type (in Event Espresso > Transactions). Then trash & permanently delete all registrations for that ticket. Then you’ll be able to delete that ticket type from the event.
