Hi,

Is there a way to complete the payment for an attendee?
What if the payment is pending and the attendee is asking me to finalize the payment? Do we need to delete the attendee and start registration from the start? Is there a way to complete the payment directly in EE?
I use version 3.1.30.7 P and payment would be credit card / Beanstream.

Thanks,
Geneviève

Hi Geneviève,

The only way to process the payment is from the front-end of the site within the Payment Overview page. Event Espresso does not hold credit card information, so you can’t process payment through the dashboard after it has been submitted.

So, in other words, we will need to delete the attendee data through the Event Overview and start over the registration (fill out the registration form again) on our website?

Not necessarily, you can just visit their payment page. Their isnt a direct link unfortunately (ill add this to the feature request list), but basically:

1) make sure that the option “Show payment options for “Pending Payments” on the Payment Overview page?” is set to yes in the General Settings.

2) Find the attendees REG-ID (available via the show/hide columns button in the Attendee Overview)

3) type one of these into your browser –

http://www.yoursite.com/thank-you&r_id=REGID

You will need to change some things

yoursite.com = well, your sites address.
thank-you = if you are not using the default thank you page name or not using pretty permalinks
REGID = the users REG ID.

so for my site

http://www.eetest.dev/thank-you&r_id=4-5138411e15ccd

or

http://www.eetest.dev/?page_id=6&r_id=4-5138411e15ccd (this is for none pretty permalinks)

From there you will see the users outstanding balance and links to the payment gateways you are using and you can pay from their.

If you dont need to actually put the card through but just mark the payment as complete (eg offline payment) you can just mark their status complete by clicking the attendees name in the Attendee overview and on the right clicking the [View/Edit Payment] link and changing the status from incomplete/pending to complete.

Hi,

O.K.
1) I made sure that “Show payment options for “Pending Payments” on the Payment Overview page?” is set to Yes.
2) I found easily the REG_ID
3) I tried both your links (thank you and ?page)+ the REG-ID (with my info) but it’s a No Results Found page that came up for the thank you link and for the other link it was another page of the website that came up.
Is there something I didn’t set properly?

Thanks to both of you!

You’re welcome. If you include the [payment_url] in the registration confirmation email message, the registrant will get the same link so they can pay later too.
