How Does a Customer Return to Complete a PENDING PAYMENT Transaction?

I am using only the Braintree gateway for payments and that seems to be working fine. I have a case right now where a buyer was interrupted in the middle of a transaction by their computer crashing leaving them in Pending Payment status. Is there a way for that buyer to go back to what they started and complete the registration without re-entering all their info?

Maybe this is part of the answer – I know that the Pending Payment message isn’t automatically emailed in this situation (& I understand why) but if I manually force that message out to the buyer, is there something clickable in that which would allow the buyer to return? If that is helpful, what is the best way to force the email out?

Hi Michael,

Yes the Registration Pending Payment email has a link to pay for the registration – http://take.ms/srYdf

You can force the pending payment meail to be reset by editing the registration (Event Espresso -> Registrations -> {registration}) then at the top of the page make sure the ‘Change Registration Status to’ is set to ‘Pending Payment’ and the ‘Send Related Messages’ option set to Yes – http://take.ms/SRWqF

Then click the update registration status button.

EE will set the registration to pending payment (even though it already is) and trigger the messages.

You also have the option to send a ‘Payment reminder’ email from within the transaction. (click the ‘View Transaction’ button on the above page) – http://take.ms/5wQ28

That also contains a link they can use to pay (same link as above), on the page they are linked there should also be a link to edit the registration info if needed.
