How do I toggle on repeat fields for multiple tickets?

We are a kids gym and want to have parents buy tickets for an open gym event. Some parents will have multiple children to register. I added a question group with 2 questions, “Child’s First Name” and “Child’s Last Name”. When I go to purchase 2 tickets as a test, it only lists these fields one time each. How can I make it so that if a parent buys 2 tickets, it asks for 2 Child First Names, and 2 Child Last Names, so we can capture registration data for each child they paid for?

Hello,

You can have those fields appear with these changes:

1) Add the custom questions to the personal question group via the question editor

2) Go to the event editor and turn on group registrations and set it to collect full registration information and save changes.

Here is an example:

Hey Lorenzo, thanks! I did those steps- and the Child’s First Name and Child’s Last Name fields added- but its now asking for First Name, Last Name, Email (this would be the parents filling out the form to register their child). How can I get just the Child’s First Name and Child’s Last Name each time they add a child so the parent doesn’t have to keep entering his/her name/email over and over.

Thanks for your help,

Matthew

I took a screenshot of what I’m seeing when going to the registration: http://s32.postimg.org/v6gudj0dh/attendee2.png

Hi Matthew,

With EE3 you can’t as each registration requires the ‘Personal information’ question group is selected.

With EE4 you can select specific custom question groups for additional registrations, EEe will automatically use the details from the primary registrant for those registrations and save the additional questions as cutom questions for each registration.

Is there a feature preventing you from using EE4 currently?

Hey Tony,

Awww man- that’s exactly why I bought EE3, was I needed the ability to do the recurring events, as well as have people add multiple children to their reservation. I didn’t realize I couldn’t do that with EE3. I bought within the last couple weeks and only chose EE3 because it looked like EE4 couldn’t do these things. Is there a way to change over?

The EE3 Licenses include access to EE4.

If you go to your account page you will find the EE3 downloads in green and the EE4 download in blue.

You can also change your current license within that same page (you can change the license just above your license keys)

I’m not sure if you installed EE3 on a live site, but I would recommend installing EE4 on a test site so you get a feel for it before migrating over.

EE4 doesn’t support recurring events though, does it? I need recurring events because we run the same classes each week. Please advise.

Hello,

Recurring events are currently available for Event Espresso 3 and is on our roadmap for this year.
