without using the default pricing types. ee3 had the ability to select the price depending on whether you were an adult, child, family etc.. Can’t figure out how to do that in ee4.

Hi Darcy,

If most of the ticket details will be similar, then I would create a base ticket and then use the duplicate button to quickly duplicate that original ticket:

Then you can make minor changes to the additional tickets that were just duplicated to update the name, price, and so forth:

Be sure to save changes to the event afterwards.

Cheers

Thanks Lorenzo, but we do not wish to sell or issue tickets to this event. It is simply a biking event and we’d like the registrants to register & pay the amount they qualify for (by age) in advance of attendance. I’m still confused how to do that.

Hello,

Do you have a link to another support post on how this was setup in EE3?

It sounds like the registrant enters their age and then they are presented with a price to pay.

No, there was just a choice of which category they were – Adults $35, Students $15, Child $10, and also buy a chance for a prize for $10. I had it set up in ee3 but was running into so many problems that I deleted ee3, reloaded ee4 and it crashed due to inadequate memory allocation.

Alright, so you had a similar pricing setup as EE3.

Is it the word “tickets” that is causing some confusion? We can change that to something else on the event page if that would help.

Lorenzo – I’ve made progress since I last sent a request, but yes, I do want to change the word from Tickets to Registration Fee.

The other problem is that I can view http://www.starride.net/events/starride-2014/ and it looks about right, but I want that to be what you see when you click on “Event Registration” in the main nav bar. For the life of me, I can not get that to work and instead keep getting the Nothing in your event queue statement.

Hi Darcy, I put together a screencast video explaining how to change any of the default text strings:

You can go here and get the links in the video’s description.

Hello,

It appears to be working now but it may have been set to your registration checkout page before. That would cause the empty queue message.

I checked the event registration link and it sends me here:
