How do I edit / add content to the events archive page / list?
I would like to have a link to the Calendar view.

Hello,
You would need to setup the Arabica theme and then modify the templates. Please see these links:

I understand The Arabica theme would make the events look good, but our website is fully designed with another theme. What template [controls the events list] in the default expresso install would need to be edited to put in this simple content?

That would be the archive-espresso_events.php file. Keep in mind that this file references other template files so it would be helpful to look at a an example of how to adjust the event list page:

Remember, I am not using the Arabic theme – I’m just using the standard install with my theme.

That file will be in this location:
wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/templates/Espresso_Arabica_2014
You can pull the files out of the folder above and into your themes folder.
