How can I stop/remove EE marketing notifications popping up on my desktop?

In the last few days, I’ve noticed pop-up notifications from EventEspresso just above my Windows System Tray (or lower right corner of Chrome window – they are the same place on my display).

Is there a way to stop or remove that “feature?”
