Hide / Show Columns Doesn't Remember Selection

Is there a reason why in the event overview admin screen when you change the selections in the hide / show columns that they are not remembered the next time you come back to that screen?  Can this be changed?

Let me get in contact with Seth and determine if this is a bug or if it would be an enhancement.
