Hi,

The only thing EE4 currently cannot do from that list is Recurring Events. As such if recurring events (i.e. creating bulk events) is needed, then go with EE3. Otherwise EE4 would be suitable.

I would advise you to give EE4 a test drive over at http://demoee.org to see for yourself if it is suitable for your needs.

Just to be clear. EE3 WILL allow for Multiple Events?

1) I am looking for a package that will allow me to accept registrations for the same event at 3 different locations with 30 days between events.

2) We expect the number of registrants to increase each time the event is held. Will this be an issue?

Hi,

Perhaps I’m not fully understanding your setup, could you provide more info on how your event/s are set up please?

EE3’s Multiple Event Manager allows a person to register for more than one event at the same time, without it they would have to register for one, then register for another etc. EE4’s Multiple Event Manager is not currently available but we are hoping it will be released (in Beta to begin with) soon.

My guess is that you have 1 event over 3 dates in 3 locations. The user purchases 1 ticket which gives them access to all three dates.

If so, then I think EE4 would be the better option. While you can only add one venue per event currently, EE4 provides datetimes, so you can set up the 3 dates and provide access to them via one (or more) tickets.

Regarding 2) I’m not quite sure what you mean by this, could you explain further please?

Thank for your reply Dean.

1) We will be holding an event on let’s say June 30, 2015 and July 30, 2015 and August 30, 2015 (3 separate events). Each event will be the same, but held at a different location each date.
– Registration for each individual event should be able to open at different times. I assume I would simply set the registration Open and close dates on each event accordingly? So registration for the June 30th event will open on May 1st, registration for July 30th event will open on June 1st and registration for the August 30th event will open on July 1st.
– Each event will have different participants and different numbers of participants. So 1 ticket is only good at 1 event. There will not be a case when 1 ticket is good for all 3 events.
– Each event should have reporting capabilities unique from each other.
– It is OK (actually wanted) if a participant from the June 30th event wants to register for the July 30th event that they register for each event separately.

We would also like to sell sponsorship packages that would include certain numbers of participants. For instance, a title sponsor would receive included in their package 4 participants. Our application is golf tournaments/events if that helps.
– Is this functionality available?
– If not, would we be able to manually input this?

Regarding #2 – Due to heavy promotion and the size of each venue, we will increase the maximum number of participants each time. Event 1 will max at 125, event 2 will max at 200 and event 3 will max at 250.

Hi, I answered some of your questions here:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/multiple-events-different-dates-separate-registration-dates/#post-148920

Regarding the attendee limits for venues, that can be handled by using the date times option and setting a quantity there. Then any combination of tickets can be sold to reach that quantity.
