Having Trouble Updating the Events Calendar Add-on? Click Here!

Hi,

We’ve located an issue in the current release of Event Espresso 4.4.x that causes a problem with updating the Events Calendar Add-on.

You may see a message like this in your WordPress dashboard (WP-admin):

You have the correct Support License Key for Event Espresso – Calendar but your account only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.

Our developers have identified the cause of the issue and provided a fix which is currently being tested. Once we have confirmed this fix, it will be made available in Event Espresso 4.4.5 which is on track for release next week.

Updating to Event Espresso 4.4.5 will then allow updates for the Events Calendar add-on and resolve this issue.

Workarounds

The Events Calendar add-on can be manually updated. Here are the steps to do so:

1) Backup your WordPress (its a good practice)

2) Download the latest version of the Events Calendar from your Event Espresso account page

3) Login to your WP dashboard and go to Plugins

4) Locate the existing version of the Events Calendar add-on and deactivate and remove it

5) Click on Add New –> Upload and browse to the new Events Calendar add-on on your computer. This is the zip file that you downloaded in step 2. After the upload has completed, activate the plugin.

A little update on this: The fix for the issue you reported here is included in Event Espresso 4.4.5 which is available as an update now.
