Handling different Member and non-member ticket prices correctly

I have some events which have discounted member-only pricing which can be purchased after login. That’s all fine and I also use the cart feature with the bit of code (looking forward to that being replaced soon…). However I just had a question on the set-up:

When I have 1 public ticket and 3 member tickets the system demands that I add the equivalent number of standard prices to balance member prices. This means I end up with duplicate ticket prices displayed publicly.

–non-member—
Non-member: £10.00
Non-member: £10.00
Non-member: £10.00

—member— view after login
Standard Member: 8.00
Advanced: 5.00
Advanced Plus: 2.00

Is there a better way to do this?

Hi Nicholas,

I’m afraid that this is the way the member and non-member pricing works since each price shares a one to one relationship. We are planning on changing this with the work that’s going into Event Espresso 4.

roll on version 4… it will clear up quite a bit of hassle, especially with the processing of multiple tickets

Agreed Nicholas, we are looking forward to EE4 as well, we are excited about the features and improvements made and really hope that you all will be too!
