Hi

I have just purchased Grid View Template and put in the shortcode but I am not getting it to look like the example

I am getting the featured image then underneath in large H1 lettering I am getting the detail I would expect to be in box when hovered over

I have looked in the footer.php in the editor and can see wp_footer() but I do not know if I am looking in the right place or if this is the problem

Any help appreciated on this please

Thanks

Hi there,

Can you link us to the page so we can view this please?

Hi

Sure http://www.bosworthsgc.co.uk/coachtrips/

The first block on the page is the grid view shortcode

Underneath this is how I was displaying and a button to link

I also notice when clicking on the link and going to the event that the featured image is huge – I am guessing the two problems are related?

Thanks

The feature image on the single event page is actually output by your theme, so its not related to this.

The problem with the grid template is non of the add-ons CSS or JS files are being loaded on that page. What is the full shortcode you are currently using for the grid?

I can see you have been using Visual Composer, what element are you adding the short-code to, just text? Or is it now just within the page? It looks like you have recently de-activate VC as the pages still show the shortcodes now its de-activated.

Hi

This is the shortcode I am using [ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE]

I am adding the shortcode into a text box.

I had to deactivate all plugins whilst I was fault finding as one of the plugins was conflicting with Event Espresso so I think that is why it is showing as recently set up

I think the shortcode is the correct one to be used?

Thanks

Yes that’s the correct shortcode.

Can you create a temporary new page and just add that shortcode to that page, publish it and see if it loads correctly.

Have just tried this

http://www.bosworthsgc.co.uk/test-page/

It appears to be working on this page as it should

Is it perhaps adding the shortcode into visual builder that is causing the issue?

Thanks

I think it is yes, EE doesn’t officially support any page builders although we’ve used it within Visual Composer previously and it worked as expected.

Which builder are you using currently and what version number?

I am using Metro Visual Builder that came with the template I am using – One Touch Revision 2 by Crumina

It doesnt look like I am going to be able to use this within the page that is set up as I cant mix visual builder with the text in the normal text box as Metro Visual Builder overwrites anything in the text box

Would there by any other way of using this together on that page that you could think of. If not may it be possible to request a refund on this particular addon

Thanks

That builder is no longer available.

Can you send me a copy of the theme so I can take a look?

If so you’ll need to upload the theme to something like Dropbox and send me the link to download via support[at]eventespresso.com

Have sent it over using Transfer Big Files

Thank you

I’ve found a work around to get this to work.

Event Espresso tracks where its shortcodes are used and attempts to only load the assets it needs when it actually needs them. Some page builders cause problems with this which seems to be the case with Metro.

However if you add the [ESPRESSO_GRID_TEMPLATE] shortcode to the main content and continue to use metro then EE see’s the shortcode as expected and loads the assets, Metro then outputs the grid template and it works as expected.

I tested both Text and Shortcode modules after adding the shortcode to the main content, like this – http://take.ms/HWtyp
