I am using the [ESPRESSO_MY_EVENTS] to show the events for the user.
Clicking on the little gear icon opens a detail page. There, a image of the address from google maps static is supposed to be displayed. Unfortunately, it is not.

The browser console throws a 403 error.

It looks like the google maps static API call went wrong. I have provided a registered Google Maps API Key* under EE -> Venues -> Google Maps.

As far as I know the call to the google maps static image needs a key parameter at the end of the url.
&key=API_console_key
However, the link is not showing any sign of it. Where and how do I add the API key for google maps static?

Hi there,
I have created a ticket for our developers to investigate this as the api key should be included within those maps calls.

This is fixed in Event Espresso 4.9.3.p. While there’s no need to add an additional key to the Event Espresso Venues > Google Maps settings, you will need to add the Google Static Maps API service to your API project.

I had the Static Maps API already activated in my selftry to solve the problem. 😀
