Hi there,

Does event espresso work in Go Daddy Deluxe Managed WordPress Hosting? I saw some comments there are issues.

The issues mentioned previously are due to GoDaddy forcing caching on all pages of your site with no way to exclude specific pages. This causes a ‘Nothing in your event queue’ error to show after the user has selected their ticket(s) and submitted that selection.

If you’ve been using it prior to now then it either caching was disabled on your site or something has changed on GoDaddy’s side and they now follow the no-cache headers EE sets.

I have been using it for last year but now I am having an issue what when I turn on event espresso plugin my site is unavailable.

Sounds like there is a fatal error being thrown, if you check the server error logs can you see any errors from Event Espresso?

I did have some issues last year with Nothing in Queue error – it was occasional. I will talk with GoDaddy about turning off cache. Is there a way to do it without go daddy support (to turn of caching on site)?

I will get the server logs…

None that I’m aware of, we’ve has issues with users on GoDaddy Managed WordPress accounts where they have contact support, been told to do X to disable the cache only to then find X number of days later it was automatically re-enabled. Then when contacting support again they are told you can’t disable the cache.

They may have changed this and now have an option in their control panel to disable caching but I’m not aware of one unfortauntely.

I deactivated EventExpresso because it was crashing the site. If I turn it back on the site gets error and will not load. I know that you will want the logs to see what is the issue – I have a backup site on godaddy but I can’t turn on EventExpresso because its on my main site. How can I transfer license to the test site while I test and figure out what the issue is?

The license doesn’t affect Event Espresso’s functionality, it is used for support and one-click updates and will not prevent you from activating Event Espresso on another site so you don’t need to transfer it over.

So Event Espresso won’t activate on the staging/backup site either?

Do you have an error from either of the sites? I don’t need the full logs, just the error being thrown when EE is activated and the site won’t load.
