Formatting issue with upcoming widget

The upcoming widget formatting has changed and now starts with a blank line. This is a fairly new issue, and I have not been able to find a fix. I am attaching a screenshot of the issue. If anyone is aware of how to remove the extra spacing please let me know.

Hi John,

Did you have a theme update recently? It appears to be coming from the theme in the style-custom.css file.

I think it may look better if you remove the arrow image from
div.custom-sidebar ul li.

You can try adding this to your theme’s style.css file.
div.custom-sidebar ul li { background: none; }

Hello,

We have not updated the theme (Modernize), but WordPress itself has updated. I will look into the css file to see if I can figure out where the problem is coming from.
