Hey Guys –

I need to integrate a form (gravity forms) somewhere in the registration/checkout process. This is a waiver of liability so it is important and required. I could put the form on the individual event page but I would like to incorporate it into the registration process since it is required. It could even be a link sent to the registers email to click on after registration confirmation if I can’t integrate it directly into the registration/checkout process. What is the best way to do this. I have the form created and working. It needs to be with Gravity form because it has signature verification on it that the user needs to sign.

Thanks!

Matt

Hi Matt,

I have a few ideas on how to handle this.

You could add it to the thank you page and then use the congratulations message filter to include a one-click link to that area via an href anchor.

Another idea is to include a link to form in the registration approved message which is received after a successful registration.

Thanks Lorenzo –

This is great info. So if I wanted to integrate the form directly into the registration process. Meaning a person would select “proceed to checkout” and before the shopping cart was displayed to checkout they would need to sign a waiver via gravity forms.

How would I go about integrating it into the checkout process. If this is a complicated configuration I am open to paying to integrate this into the website.

Thanks!

Hi Matt,

I can recommend contacting one of the developers listed on our Pros page for a quote to build the integration. The checkout module makes use of the WordPress Plugin API to allow for adding an additional step, so a skilled PHP developer will be able to build an integration that doesn’t involve directly editing Event Espresso core’s files.
