WP 4.1 EE 4.4.10
How can we change/add text to the footer area of emails that are sent?
See screenshot linked here: http://cwplantfair.org/wp-content/uploads/Screen-Shot-email-response.png

I have fixed the Ticked text but do not see where to fix the footer area of the emails.

Hi, those changes can be made through the messages editor.

Go to Event Espresso –> Messages. Then locate the registration pending payment area message type and click on registrant.

The messages editor is divided up into different areas. You can make changes to the event_list area and any other areas and then save changes.

I thought I got rid of the Ticket but it is still there. Also the timing is way off and that whole line can be removed. I have edited the email template but the changes do not seem to take effect. See Screenshot:http://cwplantfair.org/wp-content/uploads/confirmation_email.png

Here is a screenshot of the email code that I changed. http://cwplantfair.org/wp-content/uploads/confirmation_email_code.png

Hi, the footer actually exists in the main content area. Hover over that area and then scroll down and the footer will be visible.

There is no footer in the Main Content – see screenshot: http://cwplantfair.org/wp-content/uploads/MainContent.png
When I view that block in the Text mode there is no footer code either.

Hi Carrie,

Can you check which ‘Context’ you are editing please?

You can see more about message contexts here:

Hi,

Could you go to that message template and copy out any existing customizations into a plain text document. Then click on the reset button which appears in the right sidebar area.

That should reset the template to the default.

Hey there,

Could you please create a temporary WordPress admin login so we can take a closer look at this issue?

Please share that temporary login through the secure link below:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

To prevent delays in troubleshooting, be sure to double check your information on the form before submitting.

The submit button for the form appears at the end of the form.

Again, please ensure that the temporary login works.

Thank you.

Hi, its not appearing as there are some custom templates in use.

Go to the Messages overview screen for Event Espresso in your WP-admin. Then click on the Custom Templates tab.

The registration pending payment message type there is for one of those events so it will override the global templates which currently have your customizations.

There are two ways to fix:

1) Remove the custom template

or

2) Go to this event in the event editor and scroll to the bottom. Set it to use the global templates.

Then save changes.

Thanks

Lorenzo
