http://naissa.org/events/tech-power-hour-dfars/

I’ve followed the guide and setup our 1st event, but registration just loops back to http://naissa.org/registration-checkout/?step=attendee_information#checkout after clicking Proceed to Final Registration. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there,

Are you running any caching plugins on the site?

I’ve just tried to run a test registration on your event but was shown ‘Nothing in your event queue’. This is usually caused by caching, either a plugin or your host running server side caching.

It could also be cause by a plugin or theme conflict but I would start by checking caching.

No we don’t use caching at all. Our host is name.com and they don’t cache either to my knowledge.

Our theme is tesseract 2 from https://tyler.com/.

Active Plugins:
User Role Editor Version 4.21.1
Smart Slider 3 Version 3.0.18
Jetpack Version 3.8.2
Event Espresso Version 4.8.29.p
Beaver Builder Plugin (Lite Version) Version 1.6.4.4
All-in-One Event Calendar by Time.ly Version 2.3.4
Akismet Version 3.1.7

Hi there,

Can you check with your host to see if they’ve enabled support for PHP sessions? You can also check in Event Espresso > Maintenance > System Information under php.ini_settings, then scroll down to see the session settings. PHP Sessions need to be enabled and the session save path needs to be correct and write-able for Event Espresso to function.

You’ll need to make sure that the session save path in the above list not only exists, but is writeable. It will also be beneficial to check with the host to see if they have any type of caching set up (object, page, or any other type of caching enabled).

I’ve set the permissions to 775. Also there is no caching setup at the host I can find. Still not working. ..

Have you confirmed with your host themselves if they run server side caching?

We often see hosts running caching on all sites on the server with no options shown on the front end to the user.

What type of hosting are you using? Shared, VPS etc?

If you temporarily de-activate all non-EE plugins and retest does it work? If not also temporarily switch to a default theme such as twentyfourteen and retest, does it work then?

You may want to do these tests on a development copy of the site so it is out of view of your visitors, if you currently do not have a dev copy I would highly recommend creating one. A quick and easy way to do so is using the Duplicator plugin
