First Name Is a Required Field Error

I’m getting an error when i try to register for an event. I receive an error that indicates “First Name is a Required Field”. The first name is filled in correctly. I looked at a similar forum topic and tried clearing my cache but i still get the error. Here is the website link: https://www.fispalive.com/events/fispalive-nashville-2019/. Please help as registration is already open.

Hi there,

May I ask which browser you are using?

Are you getting that error on the attendee information section or the payment options section?

The reason I ask is I’ve just run a couple of test registrations on the event linked above and didn’t have any issues.

I was using firefox but when i used bing i was able to register. I noticed that there is a credit card option and an invoice option. How do i get rid of the invoice option? We do not want to invoice them.

You can get rid of the invoice option by going to Event Espresso > Payment Methods then click on the Invoice item, then click Deactivate Invoice Payments.

Since you mentioned you saw the error with Firefox only, you could check to see if JavaScript is disabled in its about.config file (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/994809) or there are also browser add-ons that allow for switching JavaScript off/on. If JavaScript is disabled you’ll see errors like the one you reported.
