I have this on Godaddy with shared hosting and purchased SSL so the entire site is on ssl but EE says I need a pem file but they don’t support this under shared hosting…What to do?

Hi Grant,

It sounds like the folks at GoDaddy are confused, the PEM file that First Data requires isn’t the same thing as SSL.

If you’re using the First Data Linkpoint API gateway you can get a PEM file from your FirstData account, then upload it to the /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways/firstdata folder.

From the FirstData documentation on how to get the PEM file:

Log in to your FirstData/LinkPoint/Yourpay account on their website
Click on “Support” in the Main Menu Bar.
Click on the word “Download Center” under Downloads in the Side Menu Box.
Click on the word “download” beside the “Store PEM File” section on the right-hand side of the page.
Key in necessary information to start download. You will need to supply your actual SSN or Tax ID which you submitted during the merchant account boarding process.
